SWIMMING
We introduced swimming into our sports programme in 2009 also. We were thrilled to have Colin Lowth, ex Ireland Olympic Swimmer join our coaching team. We are very lucky to have somebody of his calibre coaching the kids.
Colin has been coaching groups of children from St Paul’s and he is currently coaching his 4th group. The classes have been taking place at the Aura Drogheda Leisure Centre. There has been a great response from the kids and some are showing real potential. Colin is delighted that the DSDYF kids are very keen to be involved in this and reminds us that being able to swim is a valuable skill for life. Sincere thanks also to Mary Stephenson for her work in co-ordinating the children and making these lessons possible.
