ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
The aim of the Des Smyth Drogheda Youth Foundation (DSDYF) is to help young people in the Drogheda area, particularly those from disadvantaged and underprivileged backgrounds, develop self-confidence and improve self esteem through participation in sport and related recreational activities.
What do we do for disadvantaged kids?
- Arrange access to facilities where they can learn and develop.
- Provide quality coaching in a whole host of sporting activities.
- Give them encouragement, and plenty of it. Encouragement and motivation to believe in themselves, their talents and their potential. This is the most valuable thing that we can do for any child!
By giving disadvantaged kids opportunities through sport we believe kids can discover their passion, develop their self belief and achieve endless possibilities. You help us to make this vision a reality.
