ALVIN LAW – GARY KELLY CANCER SUPPORT CENTRE/ DES SMYTH DROGHEDA YOUTH FOUNDATION
DSDYF was thrilled to welcome to Drogheda motivational speaker Alvin Law from Canada in November 2009. The idea behind this venture was to show how Alvin overcame his physical disability caused by the drug Thalidomide. Despite being born without arms he is living proof that any one of us can overcome anything that we feel is holding us back.
Over 800 local school children joined him in the Tommy Leddy Theatre last Autumn when Alvin gave a truly inspirational and motivational speech. He entertained, cajoled and motivated these kids with his 5 laws of life. These are: ATTITUDE; LEARNING; VALUE; IMAGINATION; NEVER.
